Behind the web

Kuro Kumo

Hello, I’m Kuro Kumo — an independent artist who loves creating.

I explore what it means to be free: to express myself beyond words, and to discover who I am through different styles and mediums. My work embraces the freedom to create without boundaries, and invites you to find your own emotions, perspectives, and meanings inside each piece.

The freedom to create was the best gift I was given.

In my words

Artist statement

I want my art to communicate a sense of freedom, whether through the sea, light, darkness, or the atmosphere of a scene.

Artistic philosophy

I believe art is an expression of freedom — of having no limits or distractions. It lets me explore the world, communicate beyond words, and create without restricting myself to a single style, subject, or meaning.

Inspirations

Movies, TV shows, anime, comics, manga, light novels… any form of media I’ve come across becomes inspiration.

What art means to me

To me, art is life. It’s the ability to express who I am, discover who I can become, and my way of communicating with the world.

What I hope you feel

I hope you feel whatever you need to feel. Experience the work in your own way. Let the emotions come, and take whatever meaning speaks to you.

The creative journey

I used to draw from time to time, but I never thought I would lean into it this hard. Once I realized creating was the thing I enjoyed most, I never looked back.

Looking ahead

Wherever I end up, I want the world to see what I create.
