Privacy policy

• Commission requests: your name, email, commission type, budget, idea, deadline, your answers to any extra questions, and any reference images you attach.
• Shop inquiries: your name, email, shipping country if you give it, your message, and the piece you asked about.
• Mailing list and waitlist: your email address, which list you joined, and when.
• Emails you send me: whatever you choose to include.

You don’t need an account to browse this site, and you never enter card details on it.

• To reply to you, and to plan, make and deliver your commission or order.
• To send the updates you signed up for.
• To keep records of my commissions and sales.

Reference images are only used for your commission. I don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.

The queue board on my Commissions page only shows the kind of piece, its stage and, if I include it, the last four characters of your reference. It never shows your name or email.

A few services help run this site and may process some of your information, under their own privacy policies:

• Render hosts the website and stores what you send through its forms. Like most hosts, it may keep technical logs such as IP addresses.
• Google Fonts supplies the site’s fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which can see your IP address.
• Porkbun and Google (Gmail) carry and store email sent to my kurokumoart.com address.
• PayPal, or any checkout service linked from a Buy button, handles payments. I never see your full card details.
• A mailing service, if I send newsletters through one, would receive the email addresses on that list.

This site doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, or tracking pixels. If you close an announcement banner, your browser remembers that on your own device. The only cookie is the sign-in cookie for my admin panel, which visitors never receive.

I keep requests and inquiries for as long as I need them to handle your request and keep records of my work and sales. Mailing list addresses stay until you ask to leave. You can ask me to delete your information sooner, though I may need to keep some sales records where the law requires it.

• Ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it.
• Leave the mailing list or waitlist at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your information too. Just email me using the address below.

This site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information. If you’re under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to get in touch for you.

If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
